There was a guy who used to post here under the name of gilamonster58 who had embarked on the same journey. He discusses it in this thread as he is 11 months in and only into 1974. So I hope you are prepared for a long strange trip! Good luck!

Thank you for the info on that post. I love the comments provided as much as the tunes sometimes. It is a hard thing to find now a days a community built around a band (or was it the other way around.) I won't restrict all my listening to just the chronological order at home, in the car, etc. But at work it is on. They challenged me six months ago at work that I wouldn't wear sandals everyday, and now that its summer who's laughing. Have to have good goals in life.

Reminds me of a film I saw a while back.

I think it had Jack Nicholson in it.

Now what was it called ?

Yeah, that's right ........... "The Shining".

Check your typewriter - make sure it don't read:

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".

Again and again and again ...............

This was his last post here:

Looks like he made it through '78.

Nothing after '78, hmm. I wonder if Brent was too much for him to endure & he quit? Too bad he never gave us a big essay on the development of the Dead...

I just listened to 10-31-79 on S/XM and as good as the band was playing, Brent's sound during that period would make it hard to take day after day.

I am also disappointed that he never let us know how it went and what he learned. I always found his posts on his journey to be interesting and insightful.
